Victoria Street
The "Diagon Alley" of Edinburgh
- The curved, rainbow-fronted row sweeping down from the Royal Mile to the Grassmarket is the city's most photographed street — and the one most often called the inspiration for Diagon Alley. With its crooked shopfronts stacked on two levels, it's easy to see why. It's an association rather than a confirmed source, but it's the single most atmospheric stop on any Harry Potter trail.
